Final Video
First Round rough Video
Final Motion Graphic
The goal for this course is to fine tune and improve on the design of the Save the Shells promotion concert benefit. This will focus on the video portion and logo motion graphic of the project. The Full Sail University Design Committee review made several suggestions and critiques for the video and logo motion graphic.  The project initially started with rough concept sketches of a logo. This evolved into a motion graphic of the 3 final designs which then went through revision’s and came to the 1 final design.  These last 2 weeks have been spent on revising the last design with different font and slightly different motion graphic and all new audio selections.

I watched tutorials on Adobe AfterEffects Write on lettering animations. I also listened to 100’s of audio clips to choose a new music selection that related more closely to that of the mood boards brand.  I also conducted hours of research that related to and had quotes on sea turtles. I found the quote of Mary Adams (modern poet) that spoke closest to the narrative of my mood boards.

The Save the Shells benefit is a 3-day event that is geared towards raising awareness and monetary donations for the cause of the sea turtles. The feel of the event with its choice of musical performers, the beach theme and tone will bring about an awareness of education, conservation and preservation of this beautiful but endangered creature.
Website Design
my Save the Shells website design for a benefit concert to help raise awareness and funds for the preservation of the Sea Turtles. This month I have taken the instructors suggestions and have converted my web site to a parallax design. I have re-designed it in Adobe Muse. Before this assignment, I had very little experience in using Adobe Muse and had never attempted to create a parallax design. I have learned a lot and acquired many additional skills from both.  There is still a lot more to learn with both of applications, Muse and Parallax, but I feel I have a very solid foundation in the skills required for both.  I have never been a fan of web design, I have often gone to great lengths to avoid it. I have assisted with design and element aspects of web design but never the coding side of web design. This course has taken me to areas I would never have attempted before on my own. This has caused me to stretch into areas, under any other circumstances, I would have never even entertained. It has made me go outside of my comfort zone. I am grateful for this month’s assignment! I feel that I have truly gained something of value from this assignment. The Parallax effects adds a super cool 3D effect to any website. Parallax is really a relatively simple concept.  The term refers to the effect of a web page where different elements and layers are moving at different speeds. Parallax scrolling is a term for the visual effect of a background image moving slower than an image placed in the foreground. The end result is a background that dramatically reveals itself at a slower pace than the rest of the page. I know that both academically and professionally, I will most definitely use these applications to enhance any project with web design that I am a part of.
